Contract Description
Les Searle secured the contract to construct the reservoir at Pagham , West Sussex, providing 125,000,000 lts of water storage for crop irrigation through the summer months.
Working with the Consulting Engineer to develop a suitable 3D design model for use in construction taking into to consideration planning requirements and existing ground water levels.
Material excavated from within the central areas was placed and compacted around the perimeters to form structural core and embankment. Principle resources used included 50t excavator, 40t dumptrucks, self-propelled rollers and GPS Caterpillar dozers for level control and final shaping. The reservoir is HDPE membrane and overflow outfalls and drainage work carried for the client to their design
In total 70,000m3 of material was moved with the project completed safely and on programme
