Contract Description

The contract consisted of a multitude of packages.

Working with archaeologists and an ordinance watching brief works commenced with topsoil strip to expose chalk. Over 200,000m3 cut & fill engineering and remediation of asbestos contaminated ground followed working with our on-site UKAS test laboratory and testing technicians to verify specification compliance.

Significant attenuation ponds, landscape bunds and earthworks for several sports pitches were undertaken by Les Searle following the main earthworks. 

Having proven the ability to meet programme demands safely Les Searle secured foundation and drainage works for the principal buildings. With a team of 25 groundworkers, storm and foul drainage was installed and over 5,000m3 of concrete and reinforcement was placed to precise tolerances for steel framed buildings.

Extensive use of GPS dozer ensured accurate formation tolerances and type 1 trimming for PQ concrete.
